Back Up Your Iphone Even If There’s ‘not Enough Icloud Storage’
Photos are one of the biggest offenders when it comes to taking up space on your iPhone. But there is an option in the iPhone settings menu that allows the device to store small image files locally when the device is down instead of the original version. These full resolution photos and videos are stored in iCloud and you can download them as needed. To make sure this feature is enabled, first open the Settings app. Then scroll down to Photos and make sure there is a blue check next to Choose iPhone Storage.

The best way to free up space on your iPhone is to remove files that don’t need to be stored on your device. But that doesn’t mean you should downsize your photo library. Instead, try saving it to a third-party cloud storage service like Google Photos instead of your own device. This is a quick way to free up a lot of space without having to part with old memories.
But before you delete anything, make sure the photos you want to keep are backed up or moved to Google Photos. If your photos and videos are not backed up to another service such as Google Photos, Dropbox, Box or OneDrive before they are deleted, they will be permanently deleted. This guide shows you how to back up your entire iCloud photo library to Google Photos, but note that the free unlimited storage option is no longer available.

You might be wondering why you need to use a separate cloud service when your photos are already stored in iCloud. This is because when you delete photos from your iPhone, they are also deleted from iCloud, so if you plan to delete photos from your device, you will need to use a different service.
Another great way to clean up your iPhone is to get rid of apps you no longer use. If you don’t know where to start, take a look at which apps you haven’t used in a while. Open your iPhone’s Settings menu, tap General, and go to iPhone Location. You’ll see a list of your apps, including how much space each app takes up and when you last used it. Scroll through the list and try to delete apps you haven’t used in a while.

By downloading it, you can save the documents and data associated with this application so that you can reinstall it anytime and quickly pick up where you left off. Return to the list above by opening Settings, tapping General, and choosing iPhone Location. Tap any app in the list and select Download app. You can also set your iPhone to do this automatically by going to Settings, tapping the App Store option, and making sure the “Unlock unused apps” switch is on.
