The same grid-like gallery wall could also be used on the large wall behind the couch without removing the center panels like we did for the TV. You can also create a gallery wall for a more eclectic look, just like our home office – see tips on how to create your own!
Another great option for large living room walls is to hang, for example, two or three large pieces of art.
Small Living Room Ideas To Maximize Your Space
I love this look and those fern prints are gorgeous! For a cheaper option, see if you can frame it yourself for less. I think it would be a good idea to create a series of frames with one continuous image, for example for a beach house:
Large wallpaper is a great idea for decorating living room walls, as you can fill a large wall with one piece and add color and texture to your space! You just have to be careful how you hang the wallpaper, as some wallpapers can give the room more of a dorm vibe, which is probably not what you want. I like the more tailored look of hanging them with a duvet cover like this one:
I’ve seen large blank living room walls replaced with built-in bookshelves, but if it’s within the budget, large freestanding bookcases can give you the same look! it’s impressive:

Living rooms often have a lot of square pieces – coffee tables, TVs, media consoles, etc. – so adding a few round baskets on one wall breaks things up and adds texture and softness. I love the look of a group of different shaped baskets like:
Here’s where I found this basket (mine is large) sitting on the shelves in our living room in NC:
You can also use just two or three large wall baskets instead of a group of smaller baskets, e.g

The next area to tackle is our entryway – now that we don’t have contractors working back and forth in that area, I’m ready to finally put up the wallpaper I’ve been holding off on for over a year. . Stay tuned…
So which blank wall solution do you prefer? I tend to group baskets on a bare wall because not only do I like the look, but I think I could always find a place to use them easily in a future home. What do you think;

After the invention of temporary wallpaper, peel and stick, patterned walls are no longer a promise of life. This means that holiday prints are a viable option even if you want to change your design frequently. Wall Decor Ideas To Refresh Your Living Space
Just because your home doesn’t already have beautiful architectural details doesn’t mean you can’t add them. Enhance your living room with moldings, scrolls, boards and planks or wainscoting that add texture and dimension to flat walls in their own way. Vertical details help draw attention upwards and make rooms with low ceilings feel taller (the designer is aiming for).
Peel and stick technology is not only for wallpaper – it is also applied to artificial tiles and stones. You can use peel and stick materials to achieve the exposed brick wall of your dreams or the marble bar you’ve always wanted for a fraction of the cost. And no construction or chaos.
If you don’t have a lot of space to decorate your walls, focus on your windows and decorate them to add character to your living room. When the frames are painted and trimmed in a contrasting color (as shown here in Benjamin Moore Hale Navy), they will pop and draw the attention they need.
Oversized artwork is one of our favorite living room wall decor ideas, whether you choose to hang an oversized print as a focal point or pair two large, complementary pieces for big impact. Large wall hangings and wallpaper can also impress, adding much-needed texture and movement to a space.
