Last year Etsy released a subscription package that lets you do more with your store for a $10 monthly fee, but these tools are for more established merchants. Even if you sell (or most) other formats or digital content, it comes at a cost. You will need yarn and materials to make your first item. You may need other tools or services. If you sell digital products, you may want to take a course to get started. These can be combined. So shop on sale whenever you can or find a way to make it fit your price. So you don’t pay more than you have to
Grab a pen and paper and make a list of everything you sell that needs to be done. Are you planning to take a course? How much is everything? Is everything on the list necessary? This will give you a rough idea. How much upfront should you spend creating and listing your products? It will also help you cut down on what you don’t want. This way you can reduce your start-up costs.
It’s great to list items and see sales in minutes. There are millions of products for sale on Etsy, and your new store may not be found right away. But that’s okay! Keep adding items. Continue to improve your listing and promote your store. And give him time the sale will come, but be patient. It took me over a month to get my first sale.
